Through the use of Adobe Illustrator, students began to learn about the various methods of utilizing typography. Students had a choice to use words to depict their favorite artists, or to choose to use words to represent a passage from a novel.

Students went through various exercises, learning about the shape builder tool, the basics of typography, and color schemes.

Part 1 of a project series involved students writing their own design briefs, correlated to the design briefs a graphic designer would see in the real world. After writing their own brief about their company, students were tasked with designing their own logo.

One student was given the task of creating a logo for the VISTA department here at the high school.

Students completed this task through Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

After students established their own logo, they had to use that logo to create a coherent and theme representative package design.

Students utilized the elements present in their logo to create 3D representations of what they believe would be the ideal package for their company.

Students completed this task through Adobe Illustrator.
